2023 Chengdu Universiade

     The 31st Summer Universiade (Chengdu Summer Universiade) is following the 2001 Summer Universiade in Beijing, the 2009 Winter Universiade in Harbin, the 2011 Summer Universiade in Shenzhen and the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei. It is the fifth time for China and the fourth time for mainland China to host the World University Games, and it is also the first time for western China to host the World Comprehensive Games. The event is scheduled to be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China from July 28 to August 8, 2023, with a total of 18 major sports and 269 minor sports such as basketball, volleyball, track and field, swimming, and 6,500 athletes from 113 countries and regions registered to participate.
